Wolf Eyes Photography

I love people who make me laugh.  I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures
a multitude of ills.  It's probably the most important thing in a person.  ~  Audrey Hepburn

I was born with an extremely intense love of animals that bore down to my very soul.  My deep faith has strengthened this tremendous gift and my camera allows me to capture so many amazing creatures. Growing up in the Bronx was torture for someone who loved wildlife as much as I did.  It did, however, provide me with a thirst to find nature wherever I could and an enormous sense of gratitude whenever I was immersed in it.  I loved the childhood summers spent on the west coast of Ireland on my grandparents' farm and I also enjoyed going upstate to the Catskill Mountains as well.

I remember my first Kodak camera and how I burned my little fingers on the flash bulb cube on top.  I remember the anticipation waiting for the local shop to develop the film to see how I fared.  Cameras and film evolved over each decade and, eventually, digital technology hit the scene.  This gave just about everyone the bug for taking photos of every aspect of their lives.  While this has had positive and negative consequences, photography has never been as popular or as competitive.  I love film and transitioned to digital kicking and screaming, but, I have to admit, it makes life easier.

I was a Canon girl for years - loved how their cameras handled and their lenses are excellent.  As time goes by and trying to make life easier I went mirrorless.  I LOVE my Fuji X-T4!  It's lighter, nimble and the images are superb.  I have a few cameras and always carry one with me even if it is only a tiny point-and-shoot as you just never know!  I love telephoto zoom lenses that allow me to fill the frame with an animal’s face so you can see the personality and uniqueness to that particular critter.  Wolves, bears, moose, whales, butterflies or frogs – I love them all and feel blessed by their beauty.  I see every facet of life through a lens.   I want everyone to see God’s amazing creations as I see them – up close and personal – through a wolf’s eye!
